Custom WordPress Engineering for Piktochart
I worked as the sole WordPress developer on piktochart.com, owning theme development and ongoing technical maintenance.
The challenge
The site needed a WordPress implementation that could support many content layouts while remaining maintainable. The work also involved production hosting and delivery workflows.
What I did
I maintained a custom theme built on Automattic’s _s starter and Tailwind CSS, with reusable custom blocks for the editorial team.
- Built and maintained 60+ custom ACF Gutenberg blocks.
- Worked on a Git-based theme deployment workflow on Kinsta.
- Handled migration work involving Cloudflare and Kinsta.
- Worked on WPML and sitemap cleanup as part of site maintenance.
What this demonstrates
This demonstrates ownership of a production WordPress codebase, reusable content components, and practical deployment and migration work. No unverified traffic or speed metrics are claimed.
